With Magento 1 end of life, Lumbers came to Absolute to upgrade their website onto the Magento 2 platform, which offers improved stability, functionality and security. In addition to upgrading the website, Lumbers also required it to retain key features of their M1 site, undergo a redesign and UX audit, and implement new features to improve the user’s experience.
As a Magento Business Solution Partner, Absolute are ideally placed to manage the migration of the Lumbers ecommerce website to Magento 2. Following proven processes, we seamlessly migrated all essential data and functionality onto the new platform.
In addition, using in-house expertise, we provided consultation on UX best practice to deliver a fresh new design with an impactful megamenu, all of which contributed to a streamlined user journey.
The ERP system Lumbers use, EazyStock, requires their website to have stock figures updated on a very regular basis. This meant integrating their ERP with Magento 2 to ensure both online and in-store stock figures remain syncronised and configuring it in a way constant back-end updates would not affect site performance.
The new Lumbers Magento 2 website also benefits from V12 Finance which offers payment plans on jewelry. Absolute configured this functionality to allow custom finance options to be applied on a per-sku / category basis.
