BACKGROUND
BRIEF
With a combined experience of over 100 years in retail, design and conceptual art, the Claybrook team required an eCommerce website that portrayed their expertise and allowed customers to easily find the products they needed. Claybrook also needed functionality for customers to buy in volume and square metre, and for the provision of purchasing samples.
HOW WE HELPED
This functionality is not native to Magento. We also built a tile calculator module that calculates tile quantity depending on square footage required (with a 10% wastage allowance). Through carefully considered UX planning, we implemented a unique way for Claybrook customers to find the perfect product for them.
Tiles are initially grouped by range, then by more specific filters—this helps inspire the customer with products they may not have originally considered, leading to higher conversion. Each range of tiles has their own landing page with header image, text (for SEO purposes) and product grid.
Absolute also offered a solution where brick-and-mortar staff can generate quotes in-store with customers via the backend (using Cart2Quote). This consultation process allows the ‘agreed’ specification to be entered into Magento as a set of products and managed via the site's admin and payment processes, being paid offline or via online checkout.
