Since this was to be a sleep-focused resource tailored for athletes and active individuals, we focused on defining the main themes and setting a tone that would be supportive, informative, and easy to follow. This helped ensure that the playbook would be both engaging and practical for users looking to enhance their performance through better sleep practices.
By creating a detailed outline that broke the content into well-structured sections, key areas included sleep science fundamentals, the impact of sleep on performance, daily sleep routines, troubleshooting common sleep issues and personalised sleep plans. This structured approach ensured that the playbook would flow logically, guiding readers from foundational knowledge to practical application. We carefully planned the layout to ensure a logical flow and an even distribution of topics across all 144 pages. This approach helped keep the content digestible and engaging for readers, allowing them to easily navigate and absorb each section.
We aligned with Sport Sleep Coach’s branding by using a calming colour palette, and visuals that convey restfulness and focus. To enhance engagement, we added icons, dividers, and headers, creating visual interest while preserving clarity and readability.
We designed each page to be clean and easily readable for both digital screens and print. Given Amazon’s download format, we ensured the layout displayed well on tablets and e-readers, providing a seamless experience across all devices, and carefully formatted the file to meet Amazon’s requirements for downloadable content, ensuring optimal file size, resolution, and compatibility.
