Steeped in history, Palace House in Newmarket occupies the last remaining part of the Charles II sporting palace and stables and is currently being transformed into an exciting new National Heritage attraction.
Palace House combines three charities; The National Horseracing Museum, The Retraining of Racehorses and The British Sporting Art Trust. We were tasked with creating a website that showcases the heritage attraction; creating a responsive, user-friendly website with clear customer journeys. In addition to a bespoke design, the client required an online shop for their site, so it was our job to create a Magento store that would respond over multiple devices.
The Palace House project represents a content-led website with the unique addition of an integrated Magento shop, allowing customers to conveniently browse and purchase under the same site. We chose Magento for the client’s online shop as it integrated well with their existing WordPress blog. As well as an online store, the website includes an e-ticketing system, enabling customers to purchase horse racing event tickets.
