We have been shortlisted for our work on the Brompton Bike Hire app for the Best Mobile eCommerce award.
The eCommerce Awards has been recognising companies and their agencies for over a decade, celebrating groundbreaking innovation in eCommerce and campaigns.
We entered Brompton Bike Hire for the work we conducted to significantly improve the user experience (UX) and customer journey of their app, which is used to allow its customers to reserve and retrieve Brompton Bikes for hire from over 40 docks across the UK.
In addition, we applied bespoke functionality in order to streamline a user’s request to hire a bike by moving the entire process online. The app now validates a user’s phone number and their ID (passport/driving licence) by photographing the ID and taking a selfie. Absolute was the first UK agency to integrate with the Experian API in this way.
We also built a QR code scanner directly into the Brompton app so users can quickly and easily facilitate their bike rental.
We are delighted to be recognised among strong competition such as Cox & Cox and O2. Entering the awards is a great opportunity for all participants to showcase the quality of their eCommerce sites and we’re looking forward to celebrating everyone’s achievements when the winners are announced.
