We initially took on their Magento 1 website for general support, bringing the site up to date with the latest security and version of Magento. After that work was complete HSC came to us as they were looking to turn their B2C website into a site that could also handle B2B functionality alongside an integration with Sage 200.
The site needed to allow for group pricing for a variety of their different customers and also have the functionality for payments on account. We set to work to make this happen in time for an important annual trade show.
After migrating the HSC website and setting it up on our development server we set about liaising with the team to integrate with Sage 200. This allowed for integrating an order export module and a stock import module, plus extending the module to allow for a pricing import. Stock and prices both needed sending up to Magento while orders needed sending down to Sage.
We also installed a Quick Order module to allow customers to add multiple products to their cart quickly. This means that a customer can easily just search for a product SKU and add the product to the basket with ease without the need to load product pages individually. This module is great for B2B websites and for customers who want to purchase in bulk.
In terms of customer group pricing, we created functionality to import the prices of products for different customer groups from a CSV. For bundle products as we can't add a fixed price directly, instead the site calculates a percentage of it before importing it to Magento.
